OBRA Uphill TT Championships

On Sunday Tym raced the OBRA Uphill TT Championships. The race was a 9km course from Government Camp to Timberline Lodge on the slopes of Mt Hood, uphill from the word “go.”  The racers not only had to overcome 2000 feet of elevation gain, they also had thin air to contend with as the course started at nearly 4000 feet above sea level and ended around 6000 feet.
Tym won the Category 3 race by a large margin, and beat his goal time of 27 minutes with a time of 26:24.  This was also a good enough time to have the 4th best time of all categories combined. This is Tym’s first win on the road, coming after a summer of bad luck with mechanicals and crashes.
